Update. The project was not selected by the
Commission. The 1997 PDP Update for mobility
projects is currently underway. Results expected
this summer.

3. Estimated Construction Cost: $19,700,000.
S.H. 121 (SPUR 553) LEWISVILLE BYPASS (STAGE I)

1. Category 13 - State Funded Mobility. This project
was authorized in the 1996 PDP as Approved by the
Texas Transportation Commission on October 26,
1995. It has been given Priority 1 status with a
1996 scheduled year. As a result, the project has
been placed in the FY 96-98 TIP for fiscal year
1996.
2. Estimated letting date is July 1996. Construction
will probably begin around September 1, 1996 and
take 26 months to complete.
3. Construction plans are 95% complete.
4. Estimated construction cost is $15,796,657.

2. The pre-construction meeting was held on March 7,
1996 and construction was tentatively scheduled to
begin on A_p32il 15, 1996. Construction will take
months.

the 1996 PDP. The Denton County portion is not.
The TxDOT Dallas District will request LRP status

update.

update that authority be given to allow for State
participation in right-of-way acquisition up to $70
million on the section of S.H. 121 between S.H. 289
and U.S. 75. This was not included in the PDP
update; therefore local governments have indicated
they will prepare a formal request to secure TXDOT
right-of-way funding.
