Grade Separated Crossing Modification to State Highway 121 Between State
Highway 26 and Denton Creek
Dear Mr, Blain:
The City Council of the City of Grapevine, in their February 21, 1995 meeting,
approved the modifications to the grade separated crossings of State Highway 121
between State Highway 26 and Denton Creek as proposed by Hunt Development
Corporation, owners of the properties on the north side of State Highway 121 through
this corridor. The modifications entail the elimination of the previously approved grade
separated crossing nearest Denton Creek, and the reconflguration of the grade
separated crossing designated Garden Ridge Parkway from a "jug handle" type
crossing to a "full diamond" interchange type crossing. The proposed grade separated
crossing at Anderson Gibson/Thweatt Road remains the same as in the previous
configuration with the three grade separated crossings.
On behalf of the City of Grapevine, I am requesting that the TxDOT staff review this
proposal and take the necessary action to incorporate this grade separated crossing
configuration into the planning for the second phase of this roadway.
