Dear Mr. Huffman:
As requested by Mr. Phil Portillo of your staff, please be advised that the City of Coppell has
no objections to the Texas Department of Transportation temporarily changing the designation
of "SH 121 (Bypass)" to "Spur 553" during the construction phase of this facility. It is our
understanding that upon completion, "Spur 553" will be redesignated as "SH 121" and the
existing "SH 121" will be redesignated as "Business SH 121".

Subject: Highway Designation
Dear Mr. Gonzales:
Please forward a letter of approval that the City agrees that
Spur 553 will be the temporary route number around Lewis¥ille
from the south connection of S.H. 121 to the north connection
of S.H. 121, a distance of 10.42 miles. Attached is a sample
letter from Dallas County.
The letter is requested information needed by our Austin office
to keep our highway routes up to date. If you have any questions
concerning the above, please contact Mr. Phil Portillo at 214/320-
