Original shoring for the DeForest Lift Station can be abandoned in place except for shoring within
5 feet hori~:ontally of any piping entering or exiting the lift station. Within this zone, the shoring
must be removed over its entire vertical extent. Remove any shoring to remain to at least 5 feet
below grade. This change will be at no cost to the City.
Once the new shoring method for the DeForest Lift Station has been submitted by the City and
TCB, an RFt regarding the potential abandonment of this new shoring must be submitted for
consideration. ·

It is acceptable to backfill around the DeForest Lift Station with floweble fill or cement stabilized
sand. Please submit the mix design for the proposed backfill material prior to commencing

the existing frame is flush to the west side face of the wall. How weald the new frame need to be mo~Jnted in the

Mount the new frame so that Door D-2 in the Sandy Lake Lift Station swings into the Ground
Level (away from the new odor control room). Install with the hinges on the left side when looking
into the odor Control room from the Ground Level. Mount the frame per manufacturer's
recommendations. This change will be at no cost to the City
