Dear Mr. Murphy:
The City of Coppell has taken note of the effort your company has made to complete the paving of the
lane added to MacArthur Blvd. and to reopen the lanes by August 12t~.
In order to complete the project, the medians must be restored including restoration of the irrigation
service and sod. The project specifications call for the submittal of plans for the irrigation restoration
prepared by a Licensed Irrigator prior to implementing any repairs or reconstruction. As of the date of
this letter, no such plans have been submitted.
According to the time bid by your firm and the date of the notice to proceed, the calendar days on the
project will expire on August 19, 2005. While it is not our desire to penalize JRJ for not meeting the
completion date, if we do not observe work progressing in a diligent manner to complete the above noted
work, we will begin assessing liquidated damages under the terms of the contract after August 19, 2005.
