The subject structure encroaches on the floodway, which is a violation of Article 5, Section B, paragraph 6 of the City of Coppell's Floodplain Management Ordinance No. 2001-952. Prior to issuing a permit for work within the floodplain you are required to provide evidence to prove that the proposed structure would not result in increased flood levels. The information provided to this office for review does not satisfy that requirement. All of the information you gave me to review, including the permit applications for the arbor/patio and the fireplace, is being returned to the Building Inspections Department with a copy of this letter.
