Dear Mr. Murphy:
The City of Coppell received your f:axed letter dated September 23rd asking for payment to cover
additional pavement markings. Payment is denied based on contract Pay Item # I-9 (page 5-5) which
states, "This pay item shall include the furnishing and installation of the final traffic lane markings and
traffic control devices as indicated in the plans and details .... Measurement and Pay~nent shall be made
on the basis of the price bid per Lump Sum (LS) and shall be total compensation for furnishing all labor,
materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the work."
