Dear Ken:
The enclosed Modification to the Scope of Services for the referenced Contract has been prepared,
per your request, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Engineering Services
Contract for the Wrangler Drive Reconstruction Project dated August 13, 1996. This modified
scope of services adds to the original engineering services contract the design of approximately
4,000 linear feet of 16-inch water line and other related improvements along Belt Line Road and
Denton-Tap Road from Airline Drive to Bethel Road. A preliminary opinion of probable
construction cost for these additional improvements is also enclosed for your information.
The subject Modification of the Scope of Services is based upon the following assumptions:
The alignment for the proposed water line improvements will be along the west
side of Belt Line Road and Denton Tap Road for the entire length of the project.
The City will provide plans for the existing water, sanitary sewer, paving and
drainage improvements within and/or adjacent to the project area.
Easement documents, if any, will be prepared and provided in accordance with the
provisions of Attachment "B'-- Special Services in the original Engineering
Services Contract.

II. PROJECT SCHEDULE
The additional design will be completed within 90 days from receipt of written
approval/authorization for the Modification to the Scope of Services from the City.
III. COMPENSATION
The Engineer shall be paid an additional fee for the above described Additional Scope of
Services in an amount not to exceed the lump sum of Thirty-Three Thousand Eight
Hundred Thirty and no/100 Dollars ($33.830.00).
This amount includes $10,000.00 for design surveys and $23,830 for basic engineering
services.
