Re: Proposed Park Dedicati~ Big Ceda~Addition
Dear Mr. Goodwin, "~.
Thank you for your correspondence regarding the proposed park
dedication for the Big Cedar Addition. Staff has reviewed your
request to have the park fund fee waived in this particular case.
While I appreciate the fact that the owner is willing to provide
dedication to 3.87 acres as parkland, staff would continue to
recommend that the park fund fee be assessed for this development.
I would also point out that it is my understanding that during the
City Council meeting of October 8, 1991, Council indicated that in
addition to the park fee being assessed, a linear trail using a
limestone screening should be provided which would link this
subdivision to Hunterwood Park. The cost to provide this trail
would not exceed $7,500.00 and would be developed in conjunction
with Parks and Recreation staff.
In regard to what proceedings would take place to obtain a formal
waiver of the park fund fee, I would direct you to the City Council
for any final decisions relating to your development at the time of
final plat. Based on the City Council's direction at this point I
look forward to working with your firm in providing the trail
described above.

Sincerely, ,
