Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith:
By way of this correspondence, we acknowledge receipt of the claim you filed against the City of
Coppell for damage your sprinkler system reportedly sustained as a result of the City purging the
water lines.
Please be advised we have reviewed your claim, as presented. Unfortunately, we will be unable
to make any payment towards the October 1, 2000, repair of two sprinkler valves. Our
investigation has revealed the valves in question failed due to their age which was estimated to
be between 13 to 14 years, and had nothing to do with the water purge by the City of Coppell.
We were further advised there were no rocks or debris in the valve and the valves in question had
merely stopped working. Therefore, on behalf of the above named insureds, we respectfully
deny any and all claims presented as a result of this loss.
