Job Cancellation:
The undersigned arrived on site as requested to observe the drilling of piers and placement of
concrete. Upon commencement of drilling, thc presence of water necessitated the use of casing
which would not be available on this day, as indicated in our geotcchnical report.
Additionally, Senior Geotechnical Engineer David Lewis, P.E., was on site to observe intial pier
drilling operations.
Accordingly, drilling operations were cancelled until casing is available on the project site.

Soil Compaction Tests:
The undersigned arrived on site, as requested, to observe the placement and compaction of soils
for east paving. Please refer to the attached compaction report.
Utilizing the Nuclear Method (ASTM D-2922) to verify the compaction of soils; test results
indicated that the compacted material, at the areas and depths tested, met or exceeded the
project requirements of 95% of the maximum dry density as obtained in our laboratory using the
Standard Proctor Method (ASTM D-698).
The soils observed on this date appeared to be placed in compliance with project drawings and
specifications with regard to lffi thickness and moisture content.
