Creekview E21P-CS 940304 (3)COPPELL PUBLIC WORKS MEMORANDUM DATE: TO: FROM: RE: March 4, 1994 /\( / Larry Davis, Construction Inspector Howard L. Pafford, Utilities Superintenden Final Walk-Through of Creek'view II Subdivisior~ Staff performed a final walk-through of the above referenced subdivision yesterday morning. The following is a list of deficiencies found on this project: o Meter can run over and crushed at Lot 1. Replace meter can and repair or replace setter and copper if damaged. All meter services a testable double check device in a separate meter can as required for a commercial development. Lot 3 - There is no water service, end valve, or 2" blow off. Has water line been installed? 8" sewer tie in at Sta. 0+0.0 - Pipe needs to be grouted and invert fixed to allow proper drainage of line into existing sewer line. Manhole connection should have been core drilled. Due to the fact that the manhole was broken out, a concrete sealer is required on the interior and exterior or' the connection and the exterior pipe must be totally encased in concrete one foot around the pipe, three feet out. Manhole at Sra. 2+73.12 - Unable to locate. Both installed manholes need rainpans according to City specifications. Sewer lines need to be videoed and cleaned. Tract I on north side of Bethel Road - Water service and sewer service need uncovered and sewer service needs to show proof of installation (meter with separate donble check). 9. Fire hydrant street indicator or blue dot placed on street. 10. All manholes, meter can valves need to be staked to mark their locations, Based on staff's findings, this walk-through should have been conducted at a much earlier date; however, no formal notice of a scheduled walk-through was received by this division. I will also mention that based on the procedures used to perform these installations, the construction inspection process of this project should have been monitored more closely. Please notify the utility contractor of the deficiencies and notify this division when a follow- up walk-through is necessary. I would expect these deficiencies to be corrected in a timely manner due to the fact that construction is already taking place on one of these lots. HLWdm WALKTHRU.HLP/CREEKVU
