L. H. Lacy Co. - Glenn Milsap, 12 men, slip form paver - Poured
22 1/2' width right of centerline eta. 166+58 to 170+64 ± from
7:15 AM to 3:00 PM. Four concrete cylinders taken Sra. 168+75 -
R & M Concrete Co. Ticket #042939 accum, total: 171 C.Y. 5 sack
mix. Discussed procedure on curing of the slab i.e., maintaining
temperature for a minimum of 19 hours, as per T.H.D. specs, with
Scott Belch and Glenn Milsap. Poly sheeting was discussed and
approved, as long as wind did not flow between top of slab and
bottom of plastic. Cold front scheduled to penetrate north Texas
in the late evening with early morning temperatures to be in the
middle to upper 30's.
South Project
L. H. Lacy Co. - Brent, 8 men - Forming left turn lane and tying
steel at Meadow Creek-Denton Tap Road and at Sta. 100+00.
CoDeland Enterprise - Gary Davis, 8 men - Pouring concrete
foundation shafts for metal guard rail left of centerline Sta.
125+00 to Sta. 120+00 from 9:15 AM to 11:45 AM. Gifford-Hill
Concrete Co. 5-sack mix #GHS-79.
Brooks-Maltbv. Inc. - 3 men - Working on 2" rigid galvanized pipe
on NW corner of Grapevine Creek Bridge, due to being in conflict
with metal guard rail posts.
Met with Bill Brooks at 2:00 PM and discussed 2" PVC conduit
conflict with Texas Utilities' proposed light foundation on north
side median nose Sta. 161+00 ±.
Texas Utilities - Pete, 2 men - Installing 2" sweeps off of
existing conduit runs for street lights at Sta. 130+50 to Sta.
125+57.

Note: Did not install poly sheeting on top of 22 1/2' width
concrete pavement as previously discussed for maintaining proper
curing temperatures (11/27/89 production)-

intersection of Parkway Blvd. at Denton Tap Road and x-walks.
Brooks-Maltbv. Inc. - Installing bridge lighting galvanized rigid
pipe on SW corner of Cottonwood Creek Bridge.

to north project.
Copeland EnterDris~ - Gary Davis, 6 men - Working on metal guard
rail on south side of Grapevine Creek Bridge, in median island
and on NW section from 120+00 to 117+50 ~. General clean-up from
125+00 to 120+00 left of centerline.
Te s t'lities - Pete, 2 men - Installing 2" sweeps for proposed
street light foundations in median sta. 125+57 to sta. 120+00.

11.5' width and left turn lane) from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Concrete slab was covered with plastic last night and was removed
at 9:00 AM this morning·
south Project
~ - i man, 1 saw - sawing controlled d~my joints in
concrete pavement for Meadow Creek Drive left turn lane and then
sawed left turn lane right of centerline Sta. 100+00. Could not
saw yesterday, as stated by Glenn Milsap, due to being too green
(not sufficiently hardened). Plastic was placed on top of
concrete slabs last night at approx. 7:00 PM.
Brooks-Maltbv. Inc. - 3 men - Working on PVC conduits within
median island Sta. 170+64 to 166+58.
CoDeland Enterprise - 6 men - Erecting metal guard rail left of
centerline Sta. 198+00 to 202+00.
