located west of Denton Tap Road.

This request was reviewed and recommended for approval by the Development Review Committee on
May 31, 2001. The Planning and Zoning Commission was informed of this street name change on June 12,
2001. Courtesy letters were marled to the three affected property owners, notifying them of this proposed
name change.

oRDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS,
RENAMING NORTH TEXAS COURT, A CUL-DE-SAC PUBLIC STREET
LOCATED OFF OF THE 100 BLOCK OF NORTH DENTON TAP ROAD,
AS DEPICTED ON EXHIBIT "A' ATTACHED HERETO AND
INCORPORATE HEREIN BY REFERENCE, TO FITNESS COURT;
DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO CHANGE THE NAME OF
SAID PORTION AND ERECT SIGNAGE REFLECTING THE SAME;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A REPEALING
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, North Texas Court is a cul-de-sac which intersects only with the 100 block
of North Denton Tap Road and currently serves three landowners; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City has determined that it would be in the public
interest to rename North Texas Court, as depicted on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto a.v.d
incorporate herein by reference, to Fimcss Court.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS;
SECTION 1. That North Texas Court, a cul-de-sac public street intersecting with
100 block of North Denton Tap Road, as depicted on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto
incorporate herein by reference, is hereby renamed Fimess Court; and, that the City Engineer is
directed to correct the maps and records of the City to reflect a change in said street name and
erect the appropriate signage in accordance with the ordinances and regulations of the City of
Coppell, Texas.
SECTION 2. That all provisions of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell, Texz.~.
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and all oth_e:
provisions not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effec:.
SECTION 3. That should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase ~'
section of this ordinance, or of the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, be adjudged or held ~o

be void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the val/dity of the remnining portions of said
ordinance or the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, which shall remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage the
publication of its caption, as the law and Charter in such cases provide.
