Bethel/Thweatt/Deforest Asphalt Condition
Besides the surface abrasions which are not aesthetic, I have found
only one location on Thweatt Road which should be addressed. This
location is several hundred feet west of State Road on the south
side. I spoke with Mike Sharp who said that the abrasions could
not be addressed without making them even more noticable but this
one location can be addressed with a skin patch to make it smoother.
Minor abrasions exist on both Bethel and Deforest (Bethel shoulder
work not complete yet) but non detrimental to the rideability of
the pavement.
The street and right-of-way crews are just now catching up on their
routine duties due to the flood conditions that had existed. I
will be scheduling them to smooth out the shoulders on Deforest
next week. Status report June 9, 1989.
