RE: DENTON TAP ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
In response to your recent inquiries we are attaching a schematic
diagram of both of the Denton Tap Road Improvements projects
indicating the suggested sequence of construction. As you can
see we have broken down each project into two stages of
construction. Stage I will be completed before beginning Stage
II.
The construction sequences are the result of a well thought out
plan entailing an enormous amount of intricate detail and logic
dealing with which work must be done before any particular item
is complete, while allowing continuous use of the Road and
providing full access to businesses and residents in a safe and
efficient manner during construction. During the Bidding phase
and Contract Award phase, the Contractor reviewed the suggested
sequence of construction in exhaustive detail, in order to
determine if he could: 1. Find a more efficient sequence which
would cost him and the City of Coppell less money; and 2. Make
the Contractor more money. After looking at all of the angles
the Contractor agrees that the suggested sequence of construction
is the best one for completing the projects in the 365 calendar
days allowed by the Contracts.
