Devonshire 1-CS 920316heCity With A Beautiful Future March 16, 1992 P.O. Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 214-462-0022 Mr. Walter Pettijohn 525 Oak Grove Lane Coppell, Texas 75019 RE: Brick Pavers, Coppell Road Ditch, and Fence on Park Property Dear Mr. Pettijohn: This letter is in response to the concerns you expressed during the Council meeting on February 11, 1992. The following will provide you a status of these concerns. You commented on the asphalt repairs used on brick pavers along MacArthur Blvd. and other area streets. The repairs with the asphalt are done as temporary measures from time to time to eliminate the immediate road hazard. The permanent repairs are scheduled for these areas based on the weather conditions and availability of the rental equipment needed to do the repairs. In fact, the permanent repairs were scheduled for these pavers the week of the Council meeting and had already been started at the time of your comments to the Council. One of your other concerns is the ditch along Coppell Ro~d in front of the Devonshire development. This retaining wall system was placed as an interim solution by the developer to accommodate the drainage and a sidewalk for the children to get to school. Staff is currently working with the developer to have a guardrail system placed along this ditch line which we feel will eliminate the potential hazard which may exist at this location. The third and final concern mentioned regarded the new fencing which has been placed at the leased park property located on Bethel Road. As a result of the transfer of title by the Baptist Foundation of Texas to Dallas County for the Grapevine Springs Park site, there now exists a small strip of County Park property which fronts Bethel Road and travels southward along Grapevine Creek. The new fence was installed by the Baptist Foundation of Texas to identify the new property line created once sale to Dallas County was complete. ~.~. ~ .~ ,~ ~.. ~L~% TO COUNCIL DATE: , It is my hope that this information is helpful in addressing those questions posed.
