CitY Limits to Dallas City Limit) Harrington Parcel, Current Acquisition Status Dear Mr. Griffin: Reference is made to the several recent discussions that you've had with Irv Griffin of my staff concerning the status of the Harrington parcel. This letter is to follow up to those discussions and to request that the acquisition of this right of way parcel be promptly concluded. We are aware of the numerous and lengthy efforts you have expended trying to negotiate the acquisition with James Harrington, owner of the Bait Shop propertY. Apparently you felt that negotiations could be concluded quickly without the need for going through the Eminent Domain (ED) process. However, at this time, we believe that the ED process may be best. Also, we are aware that you anticipate a time period of approximately three months to acquire the needed parcel through the Eminent Domain process. As you may know, Dallas County desires to have the right of way clear prior to April 20, 1997. With this in mind, we recommend that you once again consider obtaining a "Right of Entry" for this tract. On another matter associated with this parcel, you may be unaware that we have been coordinating efforts for the relocation of TU Electric distribution lines along the south side of Sandy Lake Road. Joe Perez of TU Electric has reported to Irv Griffin that Mr. Harrington is willing to grant the easement but only after the right of way taking has been cleared with your City. Thus another reason to complete this acquisition promptly. Again, please conclude the actions needed to acquire this parcel at the earliest possible date.
