Due to the dramatic increase in traffic on proposed Hwy 121, caused primarily by the opening
of the new mall and increasing familiarity of motorists with the "new" streets, the intersections
will need to be addressed accordingly to handle the traffic currently experienced, or else
the shoulders at the intersections will be a constant problem for street maintenance crews.
This is, of course, until some capital improvements can be made.
Funds do not exist in the line item budget to construct a left turn lane and a deceleration
lane which are needed currently. I will be maintaining that area with county rap materials
in the mean time.
