Bo~ 478 Copp~,TX 75019 Re: Denton Tap Road Improvements from Sandy Lake Road to Denton Creek Traffic Control Plan at Parkway Blvd. Dear Mr. Doyle: This letter is in response to your handwritten notes on the attached correspondence. For the past two weeks I have mentioned this situation to Mr. Scott Balch of L.H. Lacy Co. in our weekly progress meetings. As of this date I have received no response from L.H. Lacy Co. concerning this item and they have apparently not made any changes to their traffic control plan in front of Town Center. By copy of this letter I am once again bringing this item to their attention. A written response is now required. I regret that you have had to spend your valuable time following up on this issue. Please call me if you have further questions. Sincerely, John C. Karlsruher, P.E. Project Engineer JCK/dsp cc c Scott Balch, P.E. H. Wayne Ginn, P.E. '~ III Sandy ~ke Road to ~ton Creek Traffic Control Plan at Par~ay Blvd. ti© rs Dear Mr. Boyle: In response to your April 21, 1989 and April 23, 1989 Handwritten Memos, copies attached, we have investigated the issues you raised. Our meeting at Town Center on Friday, April 21, 1989, did address these issues. After our meeting was concluded, Lt. Leonard, Scott Balch, Randy Fleming and myself went to the entrance of Town Center along Parkway Blvd. to discuss and visualize the Contractor's proposed Traffic Control Plan for the Denton Tap Road/Parkway Blvd. intersection and Parkway Boulevard. Traffic control for two phases of construction of the intersection were discussed. It was agreed by all parties that prior to placing barricades and signage for the Phase I Traffic Control Plan and re-routing two- way traffic onto the west bound lanes of Parkway Blvd. between Town Center and Denton Tap Road that the Contractor would prepare and submit sketches for review by Police, Fire, and Engineering. It was our understanding that preparation and submission of the. 9ketches ~ould occur that very afternoon. The C~ntractor claims /that he did not understand the conclusion of .th? issues as stated ~ above and took it upon himself to implement his Traffic Control ~ Plan without further review by the City of Coppell or Ginn, Inc. ~Consultlng Engineers. .~ is our understanding that the stop sign issues have been 'w adequately addressed at this time. Please call me if you have any questions. Sincerely, JCK/dsp cc: Scott Balch, P.E. - L.H. Lacy Co. H. Wayne Gfnn, P.E.
