Dear Steve,
I would like to take this opportunity to complain about
the City's handling of the morning traffic situation at the
new traffic light at the intersection of Denton Tap Rd &
Parkway Blvd. This new light has added ten minutes to the
daily trip of anyone who commutes from Lewisville due to the
improper operation of the light.
I realize that when the present construction is
completed that this will greatly improve the situation, but
from what I can see this will be some time yet. Also, for a
period of about a week, someone had the insight to place a
traffic officer at the intersection which completely
resolved the problem.
The problem lies in the fact that of the four
directions involved in the intersection, there is only heavy
traffic from one direction,(southbound Denton Tap), and the
light only stays green for ten seconds! The result is
traffic continuosly backed up to Hwy 121!
