ST8402-CS 890711 (2)GINN July 11, 1989 CONSULTING ENGINEERS Mr. Michael A. Parsley, Manager Dallas Water ilities City Forces 1on 2861 B Street Dalla enton Tap - Improvements from Sandy Lake Road to Creek Coppell, TX . of D.W.U. 30" RC Waterline Dear Mr. Parsley: During the past months we have been in frequent communication regarding the subject waterline relocation on Denton Tap Road. I received good news last week when I called your office and spoke to Mr. Calvin Winchester. I am happy to hear that a Purchase Order was awarded to Gilford-Hill American to furnish the new pipe and that there now exists a tentative schedule for completion of the relocation. As you are aware, the City of Coppell's contractor, L.H. Lacy Co., will complete their paving operations on the road improvements project soon. It appears that the area immediately north of Sandy Lake Road, in which your waterline must be relocated, will be the only area remaining to be paved by mid to late August. My understanding of Dallas Water Utilities' schedule for the relocation is that the work should be complete within approximately two weeks from pipe delivery. Based on my conversations last week with Calvin Winchester and Jim Dory (Gilford-Hill American) the delivery of pipe may take place by the first week of August. Therefore, we anticipate that it is possible that L.H. Lacy Co. might be able to accomplish their storm sewer construction, earthwork, subgrade and paving work in this area in the last two weeks of August. The reason we are targeting completion of the Denton Tap Road Improvements for the end of August is to attempt to accommodate increased traffic on Denton Tap Road due to the opening of the new high school which is located just west of Denton Tap Road and south of Parkway Boulevard, and will open for the fall semester at the end of August.
