Excavation west o~enton Tap Road at Parkway Blvd.
Dear Mr. Doyle:
In response to your April 19, 1989 Handwritten Memorandum, copy
attached, we dispatched our project representative to observe the
situation and then report back on what he observed. The
excavations are confirmed to be part of a Coppell C.I.P. project,
the Crosstown Waterline, and have been excavated to install a
bored casing pipe beneath the roadway for the 16" diameter
waterline being extended across Denton Tap Road and Parkway Blvd.
under the C.I.P. project.
Upon completion of the crossing; installation, backfilling and
compaction will be closely monitored by C.I.P. project
representatives to assure compliance with plans and
specifications. Additionally, as-built plans of the installation
will be placed on file with the City of Coppell at the final
close-out of the C.I.P. project.
Should there be apparent failures of subgrade and/or pavement in
this area in the future, this documentation will enable you to
determine which Contractor's maintenance bond and warranty should
be called into effect for repairs.
If you have any questions, please call me.
sincerely,
John C. Karlsruher, P.E.
