Dear Mr. Griffin:
This letter is written in response to the copy of the January 25, 1996 minutes page 4, item 5 in
which it states that Dallas County needs and requests that all cities provide comments promptly.
This comment was made even though Dallas County acknowledges that the sections in Carrollton
and Dallas may have contained several errors. The section in Coppell was incorrect in its
entirety in regards to the Harrington property. In particular, there are errors as far as transition,
street widths, street right-of-way widths, ownership of property on the south side of the road,
plans still showing access through the Farrow property to the Harrington property without regard
for ownership or property. You may also recall there was conversation about additional inlets
being required based on the slope of the driveway to service the Harrington property. The City
of Coppell stands ready to provide comments as soon as possibly on the geometric design once
we have received plans that more accurately reflect the information provided to Dallas County
that concerns the City of Coppell.
As an additional note, I would like to extend thanks to Dallas County for responding to the City
in regard to the bridge construction. The bridge as proposed now with the striping, widths, etc.,
appears to address the concerns that had previously been voiced by the City Council.
