ST8201-CS 880705DATE: July 5, 1988 SUBJECT: Citizen Complaint I received a citizen complaint from Ms. Dyer of 109 Meadowcreek regarding her concerns over the trees being removed along Grapevine Creek east of Denton Tap Road. Hs. Dyer was under the impression that the excavation was being done by the developer of Creekview addition (South of Grapevine Creek) and was upset because the developer had promised to retain the tree-line along the south side of the creek. I immediately asked Steve Morton, Public Works Construction Inspector to delay work in the area until this problem could be resolved. ~pon further investigation, the excavation work was being done by the Contractor working on improvements to Benton Tap Road, not the developer of Creekview Addition. I immediately discontinued the delay of work due to contractual obligation~of the City regarding the work on Denton Tap. The delay lasted no more than thirty minutes. I have discussed this matter with the contractor and Wayne Ginn regarding the delay and also with Ms. Dyer with assurances from the contractor that he will only remove trees necessary to make improvements to the creek channel and the bridge.
