Project ROW Cost Estimate &'Harrington Property
Dear Mr. Griffin:
By letter to Dallas County you requested that Dallas County give~
consideration for the County acquiring Right of Way for this
project, at City expense. During the coordination meeting of
November 14, 1995 we indicated that our Property Division was
preparing an estimate of costs in anticipation of an Interlocal
Agreement with the City of Coppell.
Attached you will find a copy of a memo from Selas Camarillo, P.E.,
R.P.L.S. Assistant Director Dallas County Public Works dated
December 12, 1995 relative to this estimate. Please review the
attachment and advise this office in writing as to how you wish to
proceed in this matter. You may be aware that our Dallas County's
Property Division personnel have made preliminary contact with the
Carrollton & Farmers Branch ISD and with TU Electric with positive
feedback. However, our Property Division personnel are unable to
obtain legal documents or compensate the owners for damages without
first obtaining an Interlocal Agreement with your City,
Questions have risen regarding an additional matter. I understand
that James Harrington is going to Japan for two months at the
beginning of the year. If you do not anticipate a resolution to Mr.
Harrington's property issues prior to that time, will you obtain
Mr. Harrington's phone and mailing address in Japan prior to his
departure? As you know Dallas County desires to let this project to
construction as soon as possible. Therefore, we will appreciate
your continued efforts in obtaining the needed ROW.
