The City of Coppell will be accepting bids on the referenced project prior to November 29,
2005 at 2:00 p.m., at which time they will be publicly opened and mad. A Pre-Bid
Conference has been scheduled for this project at Coppell Town Center (255 Parkway
Blvd.) at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2005.
The Scope of Work generally consists of the installation of 35,705 square yards of 8-inch
concrete pavement, related drainage and utility improvements, the removal of existing
pavement, and all appurtenant work necessary to complete construction of the project as
detailed in the plans and specifications.
Bidding documents, including construction plans, construction specifications and contract
documents may be obtained for a non-refundable cost of $85.00 from the office of Teague,
Nall, and Perkins, Inc., 12160 North Abrams Road, Suite 508, Dallas, Texas. They can be
reached at 214/461-9867 for additional information.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of Coppell is accepting bids for the construction of West Sandy Lake Road, Phase 1 -
Project No. ST 99-02A. The work shall consist of the installation of 35,705 S.Y. of 8" concrete
pavement, related drainage and utility improvements, the removal of existing pavement, and all
appurtenant work necessary to complete construction of the project.
Bidding documents, including Construction Plans, Construction Specifications and Contract
Documents, may be obtained for a non-refundable cost of $85.00 from the office of Teague, Nail,
and Perkins, Inc., 12160 North Abrams Road, Suite 508, Dallas, Texas; or telephone (214) 461-9867
for additional information. Sealed bids addressed to the Purchasing Agent, City of Coppell, Texas,
for tl'~e construction of West Sandy Lake Road, Phase 1 - Project No. ST 99-02A will be received
in the Purchasing Office at the City of Coppell Town Center, 255 Parlo,vay Boulevard, until 2:00
p.m., November 29~ 2005, and then publicly opened and read aloud. Each Bidder shall submit two
identical copies of this bid with thc City of Coppell Bid No. Q-II05-01 designated clearly on the
exterior of the bid envelope.
A Pre-Bid Conference has been scheduled for this project at the CoppeI1 City Hall in the
Engineering Department (255 Parkway Boulevard) at 2:00 p.m. on November 15~ 2005. The
con fere~ce is not mandatmT; however, all interested bidd,:rs are strongly encouraged to attend.
This project wSI1 be awarded on the A + B bidding format with an incentive of up to $200,000 for
early completion. Bids submitted with more than 400 Calendar Days for the time of completion will
be considered non~responsive and will be rejected. The Oxvner reserves the right to reject any or all
bids and to waive fomaalities Unreasonable or unbalanced unit prices will be considered sufficient
cause tbr r~iection of any bid or bids. NO BID TRANSMITTED BY FAX WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves regarding local
conditions ami conditions nnder which the work is to be done.
Complele sets of bidding documents must be used in prepariog Bids; the City of CoppeI1 assumes no
responsibility for errors or misintetpretatio~s resnlting fi'om the use of incomplete sets of Bidding
Documeots.
NO SALES 'FAX ON TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY INCORPORATED INTO OR MADE A
PART OF THE PROJECT. The bidder shall not include or provide for sales tax on tangible personal
property to be ~ncorporated into the project. (Note: This procedure may not be used, however, for materials
which do rqot become a part of the finished product, such as. eqcupment rental or purchase, form materials,
etc) In orde~ to be exempt flora tine sales tax on such tangible personal property, the contract shall separate
and provide separate charges tb~' materu~Is to be mcoqooialed into the project from charges for labor. The
C~ty xvdl p~o;ide the Contractor with an exemption cemficate for the materials. The contractor is expected
to ~ssue a resale certificate in lieu of paying a sales tax at thc t~me of purchase. The bidder shall show the
cost of malerials (tangible personal property) in the space proxided on the bid form. The successful bidder's
b~d form will bo used to develop a separated contract and determine the extent of the tax exemption.
