Regarding the Denton Tap Road WL Contracts.
We generally prepare the contracts for signature by both the successful
contractor and the City.
Once the council has approved J.T. Dersner (in this case) for the
project, we will sent the contracts to them for signature and the
inclusion of all bonds and insurance certificates. They return all
copies to our attention and we check them before sending them to the
City for signature.
Once the City has signed on the dotted line, all parties are involved
with the pre-construction conference where a notice to proceed is handed
to the contractor along with 2 copies of the executed contract. The
City generally keeps 3 copies and 1 is given to the Engineer so that we
can keep the most current document in our files.
Now, if the City of Coppell generally takes care of all this contract
preparation and transmittal, we do not want to take this work from that
responsible person. It is just generally easier for us because we have
the documents in the computer file that can be updated or modified very
easily.
Let me know your pleasure here. We are ready to prepare the contracts
so they are ready to be delivered to the contractor on October 12,
2005.

Paula wanted to know if you are preparing the contract documents for
the construction. I do not remember how you handled the SH 121
documents, it seems you prepared the documents and sent them to the
contractor first. Let me know so I can tell her.

We prepared the estimate and put it in the mail yesterday to Ken's
attention.
THere will be one more once the punch list is completed and the
project
is closed out.

We have only received the faxed copy of SH 121 water line estimate no.
5. Today is our turn-in date, so this estimate will have to wait
until
next week to be paid.
