Reference: Sandy Lake Road Project
Dear Ken:
In response to Dallas County Public Works letter dated October 17, 1995, inquiring about
provisions for pedestrians and cyclists travel in McInnish Park, I discussed this issue with Mr.
T.C. Rice, Director of Parks and Recreation. We do not intend to construct any sidewalks or
bicycle lanes with the improved roadway improvements in McInnish Park in conjunction with the
Sandy Lake Road project. Funding is extremely tight just to reconstruct these roadways much
less sidewalks and bicycle lanes.
The Parks Department will continue to monitor these needs and evaluate when the
improvements should be constructed. If you have any questions about this response, please call
me.
Sincerely,
Timothy M. Tumulty, P.E.
