Dear Mr. Zimmerman:
I understand that you are in consideration of the Coppell Medical
Clinic and/or other parties with their o~fer for the Georgetown
Shopping Center Plaza. Please let me encourage you to look closely
at any and all offers for this center.
As you are aware, Georgetown Plaza has always been a vacant commercial
strip. Even as the economy improves, I believe that this center will
continue to struggle as a viable commercial outlet. The three rules
of real estate are location, location, location. Due to the fact that
Denton Tap Road and MacArthur Blvd. are now and will continue to be
our major road arteries, Georgetown Plaza is simply not in the best of
locations for retail. It will therefore need to be considered for
other entities, such as medical, church, or recreational.
This vacant center has certainly become an eyemore to our community.
Any consideration that you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Mark Wolfe, Mayor
