TR9701-CS 970814P.O. Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 214-462-0022 August 14, 1997 Mr. Ivan Nicodemus, P.E. CMAQ Program Office 1701 N. Market Street, Suite 410 Dallas, Texas 75202 RE: CMAQ Project 7~ Dear Ivan: It has come to our attention that there is a need for the City of Coppell to have additional documentation associated with the specific data/timing values entries used during implementation of the timing plans associated with CMAQ Project 75 for Belt Line Road. The City of Coppell requests that the scope of services be amended for CMAQ Project 75. The requested scope would include the following under the Fine Tuning section of Sverdrup contract with Dallas County as follows: The Engineer shall provide detailed documentation of the timing parameters used to implement the timing plans developed from the generic timing plans. This documentation will include the timing data entered into the City of Coppell's traffic signal controllers. This information will be provided on timing entry forms provided by the City of Coppell. There are ten controller locations in Coppell which are included in this request. It is our understanding that the City will be responsible for the 20% local match for only those locations which are not funded by the Dallas County Bond Program or TxDOT. Using this criteria, only 2 locations, Belt Line at Airline and Belt Line at Lakeshore fall into this category. The City agrees to provide the 20% local match for these two locations aasoeiated with this change of scope request. Please feel free to contact me if there are questions concerning this request at 972-304-3682. Sincerely, Atul Patel, E.I.T. Graduate Engineer cc: Bud Beene, P.E. Don Cranford, P.E. We would request that the text of this letter or one very similar be prepared, signed, faxed to us and original sent via regular mail o accomplish the needed documentation that Gerry DeKamp is providing. It is my projection that the City's exposure/costs for this effort will be 20% of (4 hours x $75/hour) = $ 60. This is an approximate exposure but I would assume your costs to be less than $100 for this change order. Please contact me if there are further questions. If you have any problems with transmission and/or did not receive all of the pages, please call (214) 747-6336.
