Valley R Plaza 1P-CS 900125 VlSTA DEVELOP/ ENT CORP. January 25, 1990 Mr. Steve Stockton City of Coppell Utility Department PO Box 478 255 Parkway Blvd. Coppell, TX 75019 \ Re: 825 South MacArthur Blvd., Coppell, TX water bills from their location. We were the developers of this particular parcel of ground, which c'ontains the subject Goodyear store, so I have been asked to research the situation to see why the water bills are running so extremely high. There are two questions that initially come to mind when I look at the water bills for the months of July and August. The first is, "Why are there three separate water bills?" It is difficult to understand why this user, which uses water for the store and irrigation only, should require three meters. The second and more pressing question is, "How can the water bills for this store possibly run so high?" Both Goodyear and we ourselves have substantial experience with this type of property, and are basing our concern on norms experienced at similar stores throughout the country. Perhaps there is some problem with either the m6tering device or with property identification, or with both. Pleaee look into both of the above questions, and see if you can advise me ae to why this situation exists. Incidentally, I have only seen billings for the months of July and August, so I have no reference for any bills beyond that date. Any additional information you can provide regarding what can be expected in ongoing costs of water would also be very helpful. 4214 Fleur Drive #11 Des Moines, Iowa 50321 Office 515-287-3800 · FAX 515-287-3710 Mr. Steve Stockton January 25, 1990 Page 2 I will look forward to hearing from you in the near future. advance for taking the time to look into this for me.
