Dear Mr. Taylor:
Enclosed are two spreadsheets which summarize our analyses of the TxDOT abbreviated signal
warrants for 28 locations proposed for CMAQ funding in Irving and Coppell, Texas. It is our
opinion that all 28 locations meet the TxDOT abbreviate signal warrant criteria for inclusion in the
CMAQ program. We request your concurrence in this opinion.
We have prepared the spreadsheets in the same format previously suggested by Melanie Young.
We are providing one set of enclosed documents to your office. Under separate cover we are
providing this same information directly to Melanie Young.
We will in the near future be submitting a cOpy of the proposed engineering scope of services for
this project. The anticipated transportation engineering 'services will be analOgous to CMAQ
Project 70 - Garland Signal Retiming. Little if any construction will be performed in this Project 75.
Once we have selected a transportation engineering firm, obtained concurrence letters from the
City of Coppell and Irving relating to the project scope, and negotiated a fee, we will request
assignment of a CSJ number.
