Coppell, and Dallas, Texas
Community No: 480165, 480167, 480170, and 480171
Dear Mr. Bucldey:
I received a copy of your letter to Mr. Allen Bud Beene dated March 14, 1995. One of the
issues, Initial Fee of $560, had been previously the object of a request for waiver of fees and
processing costs for this Conditional Letter of Map Revision request. The purpose of this letter
is to provide evidence that this project achieves multiple objective flood plain management goals.
Those goals include significant flood level reduction benefits to insurable structures in the
identified flood hazard area that were in existence prior to commencement of construction of the
project. All of this is provided in support of the request for waiver of fees and processing costs
for the above reference request for CLOMR.
The following is a partial list of structures that were in existence in the identified flood hazard
area as of March, 1995:
Structure Approximate 100-yr

The attached aerial photograph taken during May 1990 shows many of these flooded structures.
In light of this significant flood damage reduction benefit, please waive the fees and processing
costs for this Conditional Letter of Map Revision submittal. All of the other items needed for
review listed in your March 14th letter are being addressed and will be forwarded to David
Preusch of Michael Baker Jr., Inc.
I am available by phone to discuss this issue or answer any questions. I look forward to your
response to this request for fee waiver so that this important transportation, flood control, and
park project can proceed.
Sincerely,
