Howell and Bullock; Drainage and Pavement Improvements
Council approved funding for asphalt overlays and drainage work for
the two above referenced streets during the budget process using
unallocated interest and surplus funds. Several residents
contacted the Mayor inquiring as to the status of this project
prior to the first of the year. Staff informed the Mayor it was
anticipated that Dallas County would perform both the drainage and
asphalt overlay improvements by the first of February, 1992.
Today staff contacted Dallas County requesting a status on these
projects and was advised that it would be an additional 60 to 90
days before any drainage work could be scheduled. Since Dallas
County cannot respond any sooner, staff has requested private
contractors provide estimates for the drainage portion of this
project.
This memorandum is being provided as an update to this project and
you may wish to include it in the F.Y.I. packet.
