This letter is written as a follow-up to my meeting with representatives of the triangular tract
of land on Sandy Lake Road. During our meeting there was discussion concerning the linear
channel adjacent to the south side of Sandy Lake Road. The discussion centered around
whether the channel could be revised to be a linear lake so as to be an amenity to the
development.
My response was that I did not have a problem with the linear lake concept as long as it was
maintained by a property owners association and it did not have a negative impact upon the
drainage associated with Sandy Lake Road. With this letter I am providing copies of the
current drainage plans associated with Sandy Lake Road. If the ditch can be revised to a linear
lake without compromising the drainage as designed with these plans, then the City would
offer no objections.
