Re: Sanitary Sewer Project along Sandy Lake Road

Dear Mr. Griffin:
I have been assigned the responsibility of Project Manager for the Sandy Lake Road Project.
In reviewing the files, I have determined that to complete the sanitary sewer system project, we
need to address the following issues:
~ Is the size (21 ") of the sewer line~lSfil, or'does it need to be designed? If so, what is the
anticipated design flow. The slope of the line will also affect the capacity of the line.
Does the City of Coppell have any standard details and specifications that need to be
followed for the design other than the "City of Coppell Subdivision Ordinance" and if so,
please transmit a copy or notify us where we might obtain the details and specifications.
· gm 8" and 10" line connect to another 10" line downstream of the manhole at approximately
station 107+00, west of Sandy Lake Road and MacArthur. Is the 8" line required to be
upgraded to a 10" line?
· Is the 21" line to be designed to replace the existing 10" line or is the existing 10" line
%m intended to stay in place and the 21" line act as a parallel system? If the existing 10" line is
intended to be replaced, are there any service connections along the 10" line which need to
~l/~be reconnected to the 21" line? If so, please provide appropriate documentation or the
location to obtain information.
· Does the City have any preference in location of the proposed line?
Is it necessary to connect the line at the lift station? Review of the existing City drawing
indicates that the line can be connected to the existing 36" line upstream of the lift station.
Note the capacity of the 36" line may have to be re-evaluated at~er the 21" line is connected.

· Please provide a sketch delineating the extent of improvements.
Also, we needed to advise you that we currently await resolution of issues by Dallas County
regarding the 65% submittal. We will proceed as best we can until such time as we have full
information and particulars from the County and a response from your office on the above
matters.
