Additional Surveying Services and Culvert Design Alternatives
Dear Mr. Hebb:
Per our previous discussions, please finalize your proposal for
additional surveying services for the referenced project. This
request for additional special services/surveying must be reviewed
by Dallas County Public Works to determine merit beyond the
original contract's scope, if applicable, then negotiated, briefed,
and approved for authorization and immediate implementation.
Also, please finalize your investigation into the re-design of the
Woodridge Drainage Channel Culvert. The existing 4 - 10' x 8' MBC,
MC10-3, which has approximately 5 to 11 feet of overburden (i.e.
backfill/roadway surcharge) was originally designed for a 6 feet
maximum overburden. The proposed roadway will increase the total.
overburden to approximately 9 to 15 feet. Your investigation
should include the various design alternatives, estimated costs to
construct, and a feasible recommendation. This alternative must be
reviewed by Dallas County and the City of Coppell for concurrence.
Please submit the aforementioned proposal and investigation as soon
as possible to avoid any further impact to the project schedule.
A meeting with the City of Coppell will be scheduled thereafter to
discuss these and any other items for the Sandy Lake Road Project.
