Dallas County 411 Elm Street Dallas, Texas 75202 RE: Sandy Lake Road Project 91-830 (City of Coppell Project ST 93-01) Dear Mr. Saldana: At the September I0, 1996 City Council meeting, Council approved an agenda item to accept right-of-way dedication from the Johnny Thompson property in lieu of any Road Way Impact Fees. This is an item of which Mr. Thompson has had ongoing conversations with the City for approximately one year, but it was just recently approved by City Council. The only right-of- way information available to the City was old right-of-way documents that were dated January, 1994. I am unsure if the right-ofTway has changed since that time. However, prior to having Mr. Thompson execute the easement, I would request that you contact the consultant on the project and if it has changed, that you provide the City with an updated right-of-way deed and exhibit for what was classified as Parcel #25 that is signed by the surveyor. The sooner that the City can be provided that document the sooner we can have Mr. Thompson sign the right-of-way and file it with the County. Even though we have not received the official right-of-way documents for this section of Sandy Lake, we are attempting to acquire right-of-way as we can when property develops, is platted or when other opportunities arise. The only instruments that we can use to determine the approximate right-of-way necessary are the old right-of-way documents. Is there currently a timetable when the official right-of-way documents will be provided to the City so that we can begin the long and tedious process of acquiring all the necessary right-of-way for this project so that it can move forward? If so, the timeline for the completion of right-of-way documents would be appreciated. If you should have any questions or need any additional information please feel free to contact this office at your convenience. Sincerely, l Ke~th M. Griffin, P.E.
