As you are ~w~w~qities personnel have perfo~ed a final
walkthrou~ on the above referenced subdivision and have found that
all deficient punchllst items have been corrected. However, as we
have previously discussed there is a problem with the way that some
of the water service meter setters were installed. This meter
setter has been e~ipped with a separate inline dual check and in
reviewing the detail for acceptance of this device, I had re~ested
that the inline check be connected to the setter with a 3/4" close
(all thread) bronze nipple. This would allow the entire length of
the device to fit within the meter box. Based on the co~ents from
field personnel, longer bronze nipples were used in some of the
installations.
I have spoken with Derek Earle of Centex and he stated that he
would correct this problem by having the nipples changed out (if
necessary) at the time the plumber installs the plumbing for each
house being built in the subdivision. Therefore, I have asked Mr.
Earle to submit a letter stating that this would take place.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please advise.
