Install in-line or angle Mueller Dual Check Valves to
prevent the backflow of possibly contaminated water
into the potable water system. Mueller Dual Check
Valves also prevent hot water back-up damage to meter
parts and eliminate meter box flooding when making
meter changes.
Low flow loss
The Mueller design features dual, independently acting
poppet valves which open with only 1.00 psi (8 kPa)
differential pressure. The low flow loss of the ~Mueller
design meets or exceeds the requirements of ASSE Stan-
dard 1024, and is rated for normal working pressure of
150 psi (1034 kPa).
Corrosion-resistant materials
All parts of the Mueller Dual Check Valve are corrosion
resistant for many years of dependable service. Body and
end-cap are bronze, dual poppet assemblies are made of
acetal plastic material with natural rubber gaskets, and
springs are stainless steel.
Easily accessible parts
All internal parts of Mueller Dual Check Valves are
replaceable without removing the valve from the line.
The O-ring sealed end-cap provides full, easy access to
working parts. Each poppet valve, with attached gasket
and spring, can be replaced individually if desired. In
addition, both in-line and angle styles use the same
replacement parts for a given size which simplifies
parts inventory.
Economical
Because the two poppets are independently acting,
installing one Mueller Dual Check Valve is equal to
installing two separate single-action check valves. Signifi-
cant installation time and cost savings can be realized.
Mueller angle and in-line Dual Check Valves are available
with a variety of popular inlet and outlet combinations
including meter coupling nut with saddle, which eases
meter installation. Mueller angle and in-line Dual Check
Valves are available to fit meters from 5/8" to 2" in size.
Mueller in-line Dual Check Valves are also available with
iron pipe thread connections in 3/4~ to 2~ sizes.
