Re: Proposed widening oad - McArthur to
Dear Ken,
Bill Jessup of the Dallas County Department of Public Works sent me a copy of the revised
alignment for Sandy lake Road in front of our shopping center. In that these plans are not final
and comments from affected property owners are requested, I would like to make the following
comments to insure our interests are taken into consideration.
As stated before, we are excited at the prospect of improvements being made to this stretch of
Sandy Lake. However, it is important that access to our property be maintained at the same
level as present today, and that the shopping center parking area not be reduced. In this regard
we request that:
1. Coppell Commercial Center continue to have access via Kimball Court from East
Bound Sandy Lake Road as shown on the revised plan attached.
2. Access via curb cuts into the shopping center at points "A", "B", and "C" as
presently exist. In other words, we need to maintain ingress and egress to the retail
property, allowing uninterruptable access into and out of the center onto Wet bound
Sandy Lake Road.
3. The proposed plan will not in any way reduce the number of existing parking
spaces available into Coppell Commercial Center.
Should you wish to discuss this further, please contact me.
Sin~rely,
