ST9301-CS 931222DALLAS COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS December 22, 1993 Mr. Phil Weston Sverdmp Corporation 4311 Oak Lawn, Suite 300 Dallas, Texas 75219 Sandy Lake Road Project No. 91-830 (MacArthur Boulevard to Coppell East City Limits) Public Meeting Dear Mr. Weston: On December 20, 1993, the City of Copper conducted a neighborhood meeting on the curb and right-of-way alignment on the referenced section of Sandy Lake Road. The primary concern was from property owners with businesses at Kimbel Kourt, because, no median opening was proposed for the street. The City of Coppeli agreed to reduce the mm-lane storage for the eastbound traffic in order to accommodate an opening at Kimbel Kourt. The following changes will need to be made to the alignment: e Provide a median opening and mm-lane to serve Kimbel Kourt. This will require reducing the left-mm storage for MacArthur Boulevard from 200 feet to 150 feet. This will provide approximately 40 feet of mm storage for Kimbel Kourt. Close the median opening at 24+90 and proposed drive at 24+90 north side. 3o Re-open the existing two drives on the north side at 24+40 and 25 + 65. 0 Provide a new 60-foot median opening at 28 +45 with a westbound left-mm lane to serve the drive on the south side. 5. Close the median opening shown at 31 +35. 411 Elm Street Dallas, Texas 75202 65'3-7151 Mr. Phil Weston December 22, 1993 Page two There is a fair size planned development on some 70 acres on the · south side. The median opening at 40+60 will need to be adjusted 'to align with the developments main access roadway. Contact Rodney Zielke, P.E., with Lichliter/Jameson at 630-8867 to help get the opening fled down. A left-mm storage lane of probably 150 feet will need to be provided to serve the roadway. Except for unanswered issues on the east end of the project, i.e., the location of the Trinity River relief structure and coordination with Gojer and Associates project, you may proceed with the development of your preliminary plans and right-of-way documents.
