Park West CC(1)-CS 891116Date: November 16, 1989 PLANNING DEPARTHENT CITY OF COPPELL PLYING DEPARTMENT STAFF REPORT RE: Case #: PARK WEST CO~IERCE CENTER - PRELIMINARY PLAT LOCATION: SOuthwest corner of Beltline Road and Southwestern Boulevard. REOUEST: Consideration of abandonment of a final plat for Gateway Park at Coppell Addition, and the approval of an amended plat re-named Park West Commerce Canter. APPLICANT: Prentis-Copley HISTORY: Gateway Park at Coppell is the original name for the subject parcel of land, as it was formally platted in 1988, and filed and executed with the Dallas County Plat Department. Since that time, the previous o~ners sold the property to Prantis-Copley Investments Group. Prantis-Copley recently met with staff to discuss changes to the lotting arrange~nents and most importantly, the re-alignment of the proposed Gateway Boulevard, which originally was to begin west of the intersection of Beltline Road and Southwestern Boulevard, running through the middle of the property, to Freeport Parkway. SIII~La~Y: A revised preliminary plat was submitted to the Development Review Com~ittee (DRC) last month for staff consideration. The DRC staff determined that the re-alignn~nt, as indicated on the plat, must be presented to the Planning and Zoning Cone~tssion and City Council as an amendment to the Comprehensive Thoroughfare Plan before the preliminary plat is approved. Therefore, staff recommends denial of this preliminary plat for Park West Conaeerce Canter, so that we adhere to the 30-day rule.
