Dear Mr. Weston:
This letter is in reference to your letter of. July 14, 1993
concerning the meeting of June 22, 1993 at our office. The County
has been unable to get the City of Coppell to change its mind with
regard to the alignment ~o build t~e..outside four lane~_~=t~
inside four lanes. They insist tha~ ~ne program was promoueu zn
Coppell based on building the inside four lanes.
Please ~evise your alignment plan to provide for the construction
of the ~nside four l~nes as requested by the City of Coppell. The
section should provide for a sixteen ft. wide median with tw~,
twenty four foot wide lanes and twenty-thre? foot ~ide parkways in
one hundred ~en foot wide right-of-way. T~lS section allows for a
Coppell to w~den the lanes on the outsi~e in the future to provide
for two thirty-seven foot wide lanes wzth ten foot parkways.
With Kimbell Kourt located so close to MacArthur, continue to show
it on your alignment plan without a median opening. The City of
Coppell will apparently review this further and hold a public
neighborhood meeting on this and the proposed opening at Station
25+00 with the driveway modifications at the landscape nursery
DroDerty.
Provide twenty foot radii for the commercial drives to the shopping
center even though this requires modifications to the drainage
structures at these drives.
Maintain one hundred foot as the minimum for all left turn storage
lanes and keep the median opening at 40+60 which serves a single
family residence. Also, maintain the wider median opening at
Riverchase for its future extension to north and provide a left
turn lane for east vehicles to U-turn.

With regard to Coppell's request for an eight hundred fifty foot
minimum centerline radius, Sverdrup is to determine the maximum
radius that can be provided on Curve No. I without requiring the
replacement of the drainage channel and the drainage structures.
This radius and the new curve would then be reviewed again by the
City of Coppell.
Provide a profile with the top of curb two feet above the one
hundred year flood plain elevation. This is a City of Coppell
requirement which we were not previously aware of.
Please proceed with the revised alignment for submission to the
City of Coppell for it to conduct its public meeting.
Sincerely,
Projec~
