The city of Coppell Public Works, Engineering, Streets, and Parks
Departments' staffs have reviewed the above referenced plans for
conformance to City ordinances and standards. The following sets
forth our comments.
At Sta. 0+62.5, Enterprise Drive, please provide a street
header detail. Additionally, please specify asphalt
transition as per the following minimum requirements: 4"
Type "A", 2" Type "D", over 6" minimum lime stabilized base
material or approved equal.
On the drainage area map, please indicate (highlight) in
some manner what is included as part of this project.
On drainage Line "H", please provide angle at P.I. Sta.
0+50; provide details of headwall and rip-rap at Grapevine
Creek; correct size of precast box culvert.
On all storm drainage plans, please indicate/clarify which
utilities are existing and which are proposed.
On Line "H", please clarify discrepancy of pipe size where
connection to 7'x5' box is made; 60" and 66" are both shown.
On Sheet 10, Line "H", please clarify questions shown on
plans, i.e. 6' vs. 7' manholes; existing 42" RCP between
Sta. 16+09.67 and Sta. 16+79.67 not clear as to what is
proposed; and, discrepancies in stationing and sizes of
manholes.
Please clarify pipe sizes from Sta. 16+09.67, Line "H", to
Sta. 17+09.67.

8. On various drainage sheets, where laterals from inlets or
from off-site connect to the main storm drainage lines, they
are indicated to be placed where pipe size changes are made.
We do not recommend making lateral connections at those
points. Please address.
9. Provide a minimum 2'-6" clearance from the proposed storm
sewer lines. See note on Sheet 13.
Please have the engineer make the above corrections, return the
marked up plans along with the corrected sets of final plans to
the City of Coppell for stamping by the city Engineer. They need
to submit as many sets of plans as they need stamped plus four
(4) sets which will be retained by the city of Coppell.
