RE:
Sandy Lake Road Project 91-830
(MacArthur Boulevard to Coppell City Limits)
Curb and Right-of-Way Alignment
Dear Mr. Griffin:
Transmitted herewith is one set of prints from the Sverdrup Corporation which shows
the proposed curb and right-of-way alignment for the subject project.
I have marked the set of prints being provided to the City of Coppell with my initial
comments to assist you in your review of these proposed alignment plan sheets. The
alignment they have proposed along the 80' Drainage Easement on the South side of
Sandy Lake Road between Sta. 17 +00 and Sta. 31 +00, calls for the South curb line
to be 5 feet North of the easement with a 105-foot right-of-way instead of the
requested 110-foot.
Please review these preliminary curb and right-of-way alignment drawings and provide
me with your written comments along with the marked set of plans. Specific items
I would like to see you address are: t~
1. Left turn storage lengths for median openings which have been
shown. ~_~ ~
2. The need for any addit~~~~
3. The centerline radius ~ P.I., Sta. 32 + 49.8, places the
design speed for the 3stbound lanes slightly less than
38 mph using 1/2 inch/foot crossfall. Is this an acceptable
situation or should the radius' be increased7 ~
4. The locations for brick crosswalks desired by Coppell.
