As per our phone conversation on Wednesday, May 11, 1994 I expressed my concern to you about the
request made by thc city of Copped for adding a manhole to the above referenced project. Such an
addition would incur about a $3,000 add to the Owner. Since the city did not request the installation of a
manhole during the review of the construction documents for permit, a request for a manhole at this stage
of the process does not seem justified. I do agree with you that some type of access should be provided in
the event of a backup in the sanitary sewer sysUun. Therefore, this letter is to confirm that the city of
Coppell will allow the use of a single directional "T" clean out in lieu of a manhole at the connection
point of the new 6" sanit,xry sewer to the existing 8" sanitary sewer lateral on the east side of the new
facility. The clean out will consist of a 6' riser which will come to the top of the ground for access at this
location. I appreciate your understanding in this matter and your willingness to resolve this issue in the
best interest of the Owner. Please notify this office within three days of receipt of this letter if you have
additional comments or take exception to the content of this leUer.
