RE: Request for Contract Extension
Coppell TLS II - Contract No. 582TLF6043
Dear Ms. Hickman:
This letter is written to request a three month time extension to
the above referenced Traffic Light Synchronization II Contract
between the City of Coppell and the Texas Department of
Transportation. We are currently involved in the signal system
implementation (construction) phase of the project along Denton Tap
Road. The request for a contract extension is a result of more
time being required for the design and bid procurement phases of
the project than what was initially scheduled.
The additional time will be needed to complete system
implementation and training, fine-tune system timing plans, and to
prepare the required "after" study. We are confident that we will
be able to complete this most worthwhile project within the
proposed time period.
