Work Completed this Period:
1. Quarterly Progress Report was submitted to TxDOT on March 30, 1992.
2. Reviewed 24-hour machine counts.
3. Determined existing intersection geometrics, lane usage, and link distances for
computer input.
4. Collected 2-hour turning movement counts (TMC) during AM, Noon, and PM peak
periods.
5. Conducted "floating car study" (travel time and delay study) for Denton Tap during
AM, PM, and Noon peaks.
6. Determined signal phasing and timing for AM, PM, and Noon peak periods.
7. Simulated existing "Before" conditions and analyzed performance with TRANSYT-7F
signal optimization/simulation program for each study intersection.
8. Calibrated TRANSYT-7F model travel time to observed travel times to be within a 20%
of each other.
9. Submitted computer specifications to the for review on City on April 27, 1992.
Work to be Completed next period:
1. Prepare "Before" study as per State requirements and submit two (2) draft copies.
2. Submit "Before" study to City for review on May 4, 1992.
3. Revise report, as needed and submit seven (7) copies of final report.
4. Determine local intersection traffic control needs.
5. Begin interconnect cable route design.
